Mel’s professional journey includes impactful roles at several prominent organizations:
- BP: As a Senior Solutions Architect, Mel orchestrated the transfer of the Oil and Gas trading platform from on-prem to AWS Cloud, this required provisioning on-demand test systems with DevOps branches to enable the test team and business analysts to ensure the trading platform was robust
- RBS: Creating an automated calculation system to generate the rebate fees due to members along with interest
- NYSE: As a Principal Consultant, she delivered a configurable trading fee rebate system allowing complexities of time of trade, location and quantities to discount member trading fees. Configurable via a Windows thick client by the finance teams. She was responsible for the delivery of over 50 million pounds per month of fee calculations
- KPMG: During her tenure as a Consultant, Mel was involved in trader anomaly detection and call centre analysis, by using Azure AI to transcribe audio calls to text for analysis, she detected key phone calls enabling the insurer to respond promptly to customer disputes
- Sage Homes: instrumental in supporting the business with numerous regulatory requirements, she delivered several document systems from training a mortgage form document model to the expedient delivery of text extraction with Microsoft Azure Document Intelligence
- Spike, Internet Reach Group: Mel has delivered over 100 websites, customers including Toyota, Sydney Bienalle, Interflora, Online Magazines
